Hi I am moving our site to a new server. we are using the wordpress version. We copied the files and database over and updated the db_conn_open.php file but we get a message:

No category ID has been supplied or the ID given is invalid.

Are there any other files that i need to configure to make the site work?

Thanks
Adam

Hi Adam

Where do you get the message? Are you able to log into the admin and see the categories?

Hi Andy, the admin section works and i can see the products and categories there.
its on the front end. here is an error message from the productsdetail page
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function mysql_query() in /homepages/9/d147747846/htdocs/urbaneliving.co.uk/vsadmin/inc/incproddetail.php:649 Stack trace: #0 /homepages/9/d147747846/htdocs/urbaneliving.co.uk/vsadmin/inc/incproddetail.php(1202): pddaddtocart() #1 /homepages/9/d147747846/htdocs/urbaneliving.co.uk/proddetail.php(17): include('/homepages/9/d1...') #2 /homepages/9/d147747846/htdocs/urbaneliving.co.uk/seo.php(45): require('/homepages/9/d1...') #3 {main} thrown in /homepages/9/d147747846/htdocs/urbaneliving.co.uk/vsadmin/inc/incproddetail.php on line 649

note this is output from our test environment on urbane-living . co .uk (i note there are urls above pointing to urbaneliving .co .uk) when we changed the dns setting to the new server we still got errors.

Are there any special steps the developer should take when moving files and database to the new server?
thanks
Adam

Could it be the new server is running PHP7 or above? If so, check the syntax in db_conn_open.php and includes.php
