So..I am thinking of ditching PayPal alltogether (long story...) and signing up with AuthorizeNet.

Do I sign up at their website? It shows Recommended: All-in-One Option Sign Up Now.

Or do I use the link in the ECT help file? That shows Thank you for choosing EVO Payments International. Please complete the following field to begin the application process. Upon completion of this form, hit submit and you will be directed to our Online Merchant Application.

I'm a little confused as to what EVO is and if it's the same as AuthorizeNet.

We use evopayments and that's why we recommend them - we've been with them for over 10 years and they will set you up with the merchant account you need for authorize.net.
