My hosting company went through a VERY bad downtime (15 days). They're up BUT now I can't access my control panel. When I try to log in I get the following messsage:
[red]Error, couldn't connect to https://www.google.com/recaptcha/api/siteverify (-2147012889). The server name or address could not be resolved[/red]
They're not playing nice with support. Is this a host error or something that I can fix myself?

Hi Brian I don't think this is an ECT Hosted store so get the password.php file from here https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/troubleshooting.asp#php6 and use it to turn off recaptcha. Andy Please feel free to review / rate our software

I tried the file. Changing the password didn't work. How do I use it to eliminate the recaptcha?

OOPS I'm using 2013 .asp version. Will this make a difference. everything came up "New Username, New Password" EXCEPT the check box.
I tried the .php version, but nothing happened.

  3) Tried Password.php (same results as before) 4) Tried Password.asp (same results as before)

Not sure what your plans are, but if you decide to bail we'll get you fixed up and running as part of our free emergency migration service. Seems pretty ugly where you are now https://www.theregister.co.uk/2019/05/01/a2_hosting_down/ Peter ServeLink Professional ecommerce web hosting for ASP & PHP https://servelink.comTake a look at our image upload/resize tool for the ASP cart https://servelink.com/clients/cart.php?gid=7

I'm not ready to "bail" yet.
This website has helped me out of quite a number of messes and I'm sure we'll get outta this one soon.
My current host is a pain and I may move later but this isn't the time yet.

Peter's offer is a very good solution, short and long term - I would follow up on that. Just for today, change the password in password.php and then without closing the browser, type in yourstoreurl.com/vsadmin/admin.php as a cookie will be set to let you in. Much appreciated. The update as well as the password change did work.
I will be looking for a new host in June.
  Thank you,
