Can anyone recommend an add-on for taking credit cards that is easy to set up? I want to get away from PayPal for my credit cards.

Thank you, Roger

Roger

Hi Roger

We have been using authorize.net via powerpay since 2005 and they've been pretty good. https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/help/ecommplus/authorizenet.asp

We also keep Paypal for people who prefer to pay that way.

Personally, I like Stripe. Easy to set up and user stay on your site. Have had no complaints from any of my clients who are using it.

I second what Marshall says, Stripe all the way! None of my clients have had an issue with Stripe and neither have I.

I have been watching this one and am interested in Stripe.

I use Paypal Advanced which has issues such as not handling accented characters properly. I'd love to dump PP as my primary source and keep PP only for those that wish to use it as an alternate payment method.

How does Stripe compare to Paypal Advanced?
Paypal Advanced brings up a webpage with their frame inserted. Anybody have screen shots of what the Stripe payment popup or page looks like? And how well does it work with the ECT templates.
Paypal was extremely easy to simply do PP to bank transfers when required. How does Stripe to bank transferring work?
Does Stripe function properly with accented characters as found on many foreign orders?

Would love to see more info on this one.
Thanks, Ed

You can request a Stripe demo - https://stripe.com/contact/request-demo

I don't know as I don't use PayPal. Stripe charge 1.4% + 0.20p, a whole lump cheaper than PayPal

Stripe stays on your website and shows as a popup. Very clean, straight forward & integration with ECT is a doddle.

You transfer out via the Stripe dashboard.

Sorry, I can't answer that one.

To Andy or Vince,
I'm looking to update to the latest version.
I wanted to see if when using Stripe as a payment provider you can capture on the orders page as you can with Amazon and PayPal.
We authorize then capture when we ship but wanted to know if you can capture within the order page and not on Stripe.
It didn't appear to do that in testing, but we are on an earlier version.

Hi Dean

Capturing the order via the store admin is available for authorize.net, PayPal but not for Stripe. You would need to capture via their merchant area.
