Do I have to purchase updaters to get support? Well, no . . . but it is normally the most cost effective. This is a reasonably priced way of hiring us to fix problems "above and beyond those covered by regular tech support", but doesn't come with updaters (which must be purchased separately.) For this reason, purchasing updaters is normally the best approach initially.
Why do you make me purchase updaters just to ask a question? Well, that depends how you see it. You purchase a license for the software and you are free to find help as and where you like. However, as most ecommerce software is now delivered on a "Pay per Month" basis at a cost per month approaching our yearly updater price, we don't feel it is unreasonable to insist that you do have a currently supported product in order to receive support from us.
Can I email for support? We do answer emails but if we answer your question on the support forum then others who have the same problem get to see your resolution. We scan the forum throughout the day looking for new posts, but we'll only really go through emails once a day so the forum is also a quicker method for support.
