So I was told the the file upload was now working in PHP, if so how do you access it?

I take it this is similar to digital download but allows uploads. So customers can upload files.

Thanks
David

Hi, there is no build in functionality for customers to upload files.
For the .asp version, there is a plugin that Servelink offers, but I'm not sure if there is one for .php

The only upload features in the admin are for uploading product and inventory data via csv, and images for products.

Thanks,
David

Maybe you can talk to Vince, he says it is working on PHP side.

Hi David

The PHP side of things is already working. What we are doing now is adding the same functionality to the ASP version.

All the best

Vince

Hi David, I see.
I consider myself well versed in the features, but that doesn't mean I know them all, that's for sure .
I usually pickup on new features as they are released https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=20

I expect Vince might see this post and clear things up.

Thanks,
David

Hi David
Every few weeks we release updaters with new functionality and the next one to go out will have the image upload feature. If you subscribe to this forum here...
https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=20
...then you will get an email notification when we post about a new updater. This feature is in the final stage of testing and really, any day now it will be released.

Cool, I look forward to seeing it and see hows its applied. I desperately need this type of function mainly because I'm so familiar with your software and hate WP and Woo.. I can do most anything with your tools except that one thing (allowing customers to upload a file to you and keep it in buying process).

Thanks
David

I updated to the new version. I cant seem to find the setting on Main Setting for setting the upload directory. Do I need to make changes to the include file first?

Thanks
David

Hi David,
You shouldn't need to add anything in the includes to see that. Assuming you have browsed to the updatestore.php file to update the database you should see it in the main settings of the admin directly under the Google Recaptcha section.

Can you try clearing your browser cache or try another browser?

I've just applied the updater to a test site and not had any issues at all.

I'm using premium-felicity-php if that makes a difference, so not using the ectcart.css if that is the difference? using ectstyle1.css

Would that make the difference?

Thanks
David

No that shouldn't make any difference at all, the back end files are all the same whatever template you're using.
What version are you seeing in the admin? You should be seeing version 7.1.5 not version 7.0.6
If you're not seeing that can you try running updatestore.php again just to make sure the database is updated or if you're seeing 7.0.6 you've applied the wrong updater.
