Hi,

I’m currently on MySQL 5.6.45 and PHP 7.3.12.
I think this will be fine but can you tell me if I’m ok to upgrade Mysql to the latest version?

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve
We haven't heard of any problems at all with any of the latest versions of mySQL so I think you will be fine.

Thanks Vince - that's what I thought but just thought I'd check.

My host has offered me the following options:

MySQL 5.7
MariaDB 10.0
MariaDB 10.1
MariaDB 10.2
MariaDB 10.3

Is anyone using MariaDB or any idea if there would be any issues with going to MariaDB 10.3?

Thanks,

Steve

We use MariaDB 10.2 on our shared hosting systems with no drama , will be looking at releasing 10.3 and PHP 7.4 in the New Year.

There's a couple of deprecated functions that give errors on PHP 7.4 using ECT 7.0.7
I forget what they were now but I'd just run a few tests first

Thanks Peter & Phil.

I'm forgot to mention I am running v7.1.6 of ECT.
Phil, do you know if those deprecated functions are OK for that version of the cart?

I'm not sure Steve but I would assume they will be.

I'll take a look and post back with the error messages so Vince can take a look when he has a moment.
