Hi, I would like to purchase the 12 month updater for PHP. I noticed the pricing is showing in Euros as well? did this Company get bought out?

For my main question is, what is the difference on the PHP Updaters option to:
-have the updaters applied or..
-yes and have ecart files applied

?

Thank you in advance...

Hi Dano2

The pricing changes were from the 5th August 2019 and those changes were reductions to many of the available purchase and that the prices are now in Euros rather than Dollars. No, the company has not been bought out but Andy has since retired.

You can choose to either
A: Buy and apply the updater yourself - choose No Thanks
B: Buy the updater & have ECT apply the updater - 5 Euros
C: Buy the updater as well as have the necessary ectcart css & js files added to your websites <head> section to all the pages 20 Euros

It's also worth mentioning that any edits you need / want to make to any of the ectcart.css entries is best added to your regular styles.css file as those edits will not be overwritten when newer ectcart.css files (new features etc) are released with updaters.

The forum has many posts from users who have NOT followed the updater instructions correctly (which is shown on screen when running the updatestore.php / asp file) by adding those files only to find that the cart doesn't function correctly / at all.

If you already have the ectcart.css & ectcart.js files in the <head> section of your website then you just need to apply the updater in full without any issues of the cart pages not functioning as expected.

Hope that helps

Hi Dano2

I have just looked at the source of your home page and cart.php pages and they are both showing in the head. To view the page source in Firefox or Chrome just click Ctrl U and that will open another tab with that pages source

This is the head section of cart.php on lines 8 & 10

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"><html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"><!-- #BeginTemplate "Templates/main.dwt" --><!-- DW6 -->
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<!-- #BeginEditable "doctitle" -->
<title>SafetyProShop.com</title>
<!-- #EndEditable -->
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/ectcart.css" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/ectcart.js"></script>
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/ectstyle.css" />
<link href="css/style.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
