Weird Behavior Admin Categories Not Urgent

Marshall Ecommerce Template Guru USA 1874 Posts	Posted - 02/19/2020 : 07:11:19 PHP v7.0.8 I have say 20 categories all of which begin with Widget: Widget-One, Widget-Two, Widget-Three and so on. Now if I enter Widget in the "Search For" box and "Search Type" is set to "All words," maybe 5 or 10 of the "Widget" categories display. I have to set the "Search Type" to "Exact Phrase" to get them all to display. I cannot say what version the site was on when I first noticed it, but I can say it is becoming somewhat annoying as, at first, you do not realize that all the categories under Widget are not displaying. Doing a test just now, one category only displays 8 results when "All Words" is selected even though there are 14 categories. I have to switch to "Exact Phrase" to get all 14 to display. And also in this test, if I do "Widget-" with "All Words," nothing displays. Again, have to use "Exact Phrase." As I said, it is not urgent, just annoying. Vince Administrator 42466 Posts	Posted - 02/24/2020 : 02:49:46 Hi Marshall I didn't get the same problem you did but I did notice another problem and I would bet they are related. it seems when calculating the total number of categories the search wasn't taken into account so page bars would appear when not necessary, and I think what may have been happening is that the items that were not displaying were on page 2, even though there were only a dozen or so displayed. I also noticed it on the product admin page. As with the categories page, it no longer appears. Not sure what you did, but thanks. Vince Administrator 42466 Posts	Posted - 03/26/2020 : 12:05:23 Hi Marshall I see the change didn't make it into the v7.1 updater, only the v7.2 but it should have done so I've added it now. If you get a new copy of the updater and copy the file... vsadmin/inc/inccats.php ...to your site it will sort this out.
