Hi All,

When I go to Store Admin > Mailing List

There are the 3 buttons "Confirm", "Modify", "Delete", what does the confirm button do?

Lastly, I have added to the Mail Chimp API, and i get the below options:

What selection should I make

Jason

i am assuming be selecting the above, moves the 8 customers that have signed up to newsletters across to the Mailchimp audience

Hi Jason
when customers sign up to your mailing list they get a confirmation email and are required to click on the link to confirm their subscription to the list. You wouldn't normally want to manually confirm them but that is what the button would do.
Yes, syncing the mails with the list would move them to the mailchimp list.

Hi all,

I am trying to get Mailchimp running but having some issues.

I have two lists defined in the Mailchimp admin.

Newsletter at Mailchimp - 13 members
Ecommerce Plus Database - 205 members

A red box around the first list (Newsletter at Mailchimp)

I selected "Sync ALL emails (205) with the Newsletter. I get an error "The following error occurred: The resource submitted could not be validated. For field-specific details, see the 'errors' array.

Any advice?
Thanks,
Brad

Morning all,

I get the same error message when trying to sync emails with mailchimp:

The following error occurred: The resource submitted could not be validated. For field-specific details, see the 'errors' array.

This seems to work ok in my test integration here so can you do the following...
Add this parameter to the includes.php file...
$debugxmlemails=TRUE;
Then try and sync and you should get an email with the XML request and response. Then send that to me at vince AT ecommercetemplates DOT com and don't forget to take the parameter out of the includes.php file when you're done.

Thanks to both of you and looking through the data I think I see the problem where NULL values for the name can cause invalid JSON values to be sent to MailChimp. I've updated the incfunctions.php file for the v7.1, v7.2 and v7.3 updaters with the fix so if you could get a new copy and try again, that will hopefully sort this out.

One slight issue left.

I signed up for the newsletter with a first name only and it inserted into Mailchimp under the last name. The first name was left blank.

Hi Brad
I'm glad the fix worked. And looking at the code then yes, if there is just one name that would be put into the last name. But is that really a problem?
