On one of our product lines there are two potential Product Option choices. Once the customer has selected the colour of product they want we then have a dependent option set which allows the customer to choose whether they YES want to add a bundle of accessories to their order or NO don't add the bundle of accessories.
The colour option and dependent option selection work correctly when a customer is adding product to their shopping cart but if a customer subsequently changes their mind about their choices and we need to modify the order from the ECT Store Admin>Orders Admin>View Orders>Order ID selected and then Edit Order option the secondary dependent option, YES want to add a bundle of accessories to their order or NO don't add the bundle of accessories, no longer appears once the product colour has been selected (this used to work fine on previous PHP versions).
The same issue also arises if we need to populate a new customer order direct from the ECT Store Admin>Orders Admin>New Order function.
Hi Neil, that's right, dependent options do not work in the admin. I think it would be a nice feature to have as we run into the same problem. Luckily, it's not something that happens often and if we need to enter a new order that has dependent options, we use the front end of the website.
Many thanks for the reply and the workaround suggestion.
Doesn't happen very often with us either but we could have sworn that being able to select the dependent option from within the Admin Edit Order section was something that used to work for us in the past.
