Currently running ECT PHP version v7.2.4

A couple of times a year we use the "Store Admin>Mailing List>Send Emails to List" function to send out a short newsletter to customers who've asked to be kept updated with store news.

We always have the Unsubscribe Link button checked on the ECT web page before starting to send any emails.

Been sending a newsletter to customers for the December festive season but just realised that the unsubscribe link that is normally appended to the bottom of the email text is no longer being added.

Any ideas what needs tweaking to get things back on track again?

Thanks in advance.

Just a quick update.

If the Unsubscribe Link button is checked on the ECT web page before starting to send the emails AND the optional parameter "%unsubscribe%" added in version 7.2.1 is added to the body of the email text then the unsubscribe link is displayed. Although then the additional unsubscribe text from $yyToUnsu='To be removed from the list please use the following link. If the link is not clickable then please just copy and paste it into your browser address bar.'; (found in the languageadmin.php file) is not added to the email body before the unsubscribe link.

If the Unsubscribe Link button is UNchecked on the ECT web page then even with the optional parameter "%unsubscribe%" no unsubscribe link is displayed.

Just checking, but do you have a solution now for this? But yes, if you use %unsubscribe% then it is assumed that you will add your own text. For instance...
quote:
<div>To unsubscribe please click on the following link. If the link is not clickable then please just copy and paste it into your browser address bar.</div>
<div><a href="%unsubscribe%">%unsubscribe%</a></div>

Hi Vince,

Thanks for the reply.

Yes we have a workaround by adding our own text and using the %unsubscribe%

It's just that previously checking the Unsubscribe Link button on the ECT web page automatically populated the bottom of the email with the text from $yyToUnsu='To be removed from the list please use the following link. If the link is not clickable then please just copy and paste it into your browser address bar.'; (found in the languageadmin.php file) and also the url with the clickable unsubscribe link (I only realised this wasn't happening after some customers started complaining that they were not able to unsubscribe from the mailing list which they had previously signed up for).
