Hi,

I just received the following email from stripe.

Starting on May 21, 2021, in order to save a payment method for future use you will be required to include the setup_future_usage argument when creating the Stripe Checkout session. Stripe uses this argument to dynamically optimize your payment flow and facilitate compliance with regional legislation and network rules.

Our records indicate your account Lasting Touch has previously charged a payment method saved via a Stripe Checkout session that did not include the setup_future_usage argument. We strongly recommend you review your integration and make any changes before the date above to avoid any disruption.

-------

I do have customers ask to add extra personalisations to their order after it is placed, so it's really handy to just be able to say that I will add it on and charge the card used on the order.
Does this mean I'll no longer be able to do this?

Hi Gemma
I think this may be to do with totally separate future charges and linking the payment method to a customer. So I think you may be ok just adding a bit on to an existing charge. But what I would do if I were you is talk to Stripe and explain what you want to do.
