Hello
I have created a 404.html file
also a .htaccess file with the code ErrorDocument 404 404.html

In localhost
If I change a url to a non existant url
the non existant page shows
the incorrect url with 404.html wriitten on that page.

The prepared 404.html does not show.

Not Found
The requested URL /fb-design-responsive/index23.php was not found on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

ErrorDocument 404 ../404.html showed ../404.html

Hi John
Could you try asking your host for help with this as there are lots of differences between different hosting setups.

Hi Vince,
I was trying to do this on localhost so I uploaded those files to the server and it works correctly.

I have had this trouble before.
