It looks like your server may have been updated to PHP 7 or above. There is a post here on how to set your vsadmin/db_conn_open.php file to use the new type of database connection...

Hi Jeff
Did you make the changes in the db_conn_open.php file as in that post? If you don't do that the old style mySQL PHP functions are used and you will get that error.
