I may be imagining this but here goes.

A client has an existing site that's about 7 - 8 years old & a new site in a secondary folder called /newsite. New site is almost ready to go live to replace the old site but when he adds item(s) to cart then proceeds to checkout he is then transferred to the old site.

Would I be correct in thinking there is a method to keep the whole checkout process on the new site to completion & if so what is required?

Thanks Peter.

Followed those instructions but the new site is still transferring to the old site. Those instructions state 'If you need to set up a second store on the same server but for a different domain' which isn't the case with this site. It's the same domain. Any other solutions?

It's likely one site is moving to the other based on what's set in the admin main settings.
If you want to operate two sites off one database, then use the Second store URL setting.

I use this on my dev site, so it does work...

Hi Steve,
You need to be adding these two lines to the yourdomain/newsite/vsadmin/includes.php file

$orstoreurl="http://www.yourdomain.com/newsite";
$orstoreurlssl="https://www.yourdomain.com/newsite";

Good evening Peter, Dave & Phil

Thanks for your assistance. All's now working as expected once I use the correct syntax, an extra backslash was the culprit
