Can the cart handle both shipping weight and dimensions?

I just had a conversation with a UPS Support person who said that UPS now uses BOTH dimensions and weight to come up with a "weight per inch" or something like that to determine the appropriate ship charge.

So my questions are:
- CAN Ect accept BOTH weight and dimensions so they can be passed on to UPS.
- And which versions, if any, are able to pass on both measurements?

And related to the same client, is there any reason that ECT CANNOT pass on UPS Negotiated Rates? Because that seems to be a problem as well. The cart can generate the same shipping charges as UPS Online, but NOT the negotiated rate.

Thanks!

Hi Tim

This was mentioned in the 7.2.6 updater from Feb '21
quote:
We have included a couple of fixes for UPS negotiated rates when recalculating shipping in the admin orders page. Previously the ship state was not included and this is required for negotiated rates.

Don't know if that is any help as I don't use UPS being UK based
