Hello!

Is it important to add keywords to category pages?

I looked for information on this on the site, but I can't find it.

And there is no field to enter keywords for categories in the control panel.

Keywords are really no longer utilized by search engines. You can add them, but there really would be little to no benefit.

IMO & experience, meta keywords are a waste of effort. Google has stated it has never used them &, with 94% of search done via Google, I personally direct my time to other aspects.

In 2018 one insider at Bing said they never pay attention to keyword but another stated they do, so make of that what you like.

I guess that because there no keywords fields for the categories, it's probably not important.
