I spent the whole weekend working on it. And when I say all weekend, it's really all weekend, I barely slept (it's now 4:17 AM. With over 10,000 products to check in two languages, that's a lot of work!

It works very well. I didn't encounter any problem.

The only thing missing is the ability to create the static URL from the product admin page. It's a bit annoying not to be able to display the URL of the other languages in this page.

I find it really great to now be able to use the same name for the products.

Thank you very much for adding this function and for being so attentive to our needs. It's very appreciated.

It's never too late!

In fact, the timing is perfect, as I completed the changes for the English version.

Now, I need to check the French version, so it will help a lot.

I will download and install the updater and let you know how it goes.

Now, is there a way to create a static URL for the categories?

From what I see, Bing has a lot of trouble with accented letters.

By this do you mean a way to automatically create the URL in lowercase stripping punctuation etc similar to how you can for the product detail URL?

I would like to change it to :

https://www.lineaire.com/products/Laniere-personnalisee

But it don't need to be automatic.

I don't think it's important, but she asked...

I've added this now like on the products admin page so there is a "Create Category URL" option in the Quick Update...

Yes, and that is a case of changing your .htaccess file. For instance if you have...

RewriteRule ^products/([^/.]*)/?$ /products.php?cat=$1 [QSA,nc,L,B]

...change that to...

RewriteRule ^produits/([^/.]*)/?$ /products.php?cat=$1 [QSA,nc,L,B]

And you would also need to change the includes.php setting to...

$seoprodurlpattern="/produits/%s";

The changes for the category URLs are in the Beta now in the inccats.php file.
