PHP version support. Keep yours up to date!

1818charlie ECT Moderator United Kingdom 1180 Posts	Posted - 11/06/2022 : 06:53:32 Having been contacted by a good few customers over the last few months, ECT & none ECT customers, & on checking their PHP versions we are finding some are woefully way behind with versions. All those have since been corrected & are up to date. As the PHP version of the ECT cart is PHP 8.1 compatible I thought a timely reminder to anyone whose versions are somewhat 'lingering in the past' to check 'em & get them up to date. PHP 8.1 is fully supported til 25th Nov '23 & security support runs to 25th Nov '24. The 7.4 version of PHP was released on 28 Nov 2019. Its active core support ended on 28 Nov 2021 with just security updates available through to 28 Nov 2022 which is only 21 days away. Check yours & make sure you get your version up to date, where possible. PHP 8.2 goes General Availability in two or three weeks, and which point PHP 8.0 drops out of mainstream support and starts going away.
