Hi,

Is there a way to set a handling charge for FSA (Free Shipping). I have free shipping for $X to USA, but shipping to Hawaii is more expensive, therefore would like to set a handling charge of say $20 to this state to cover for extra shipping cost, even at free shipping. Is it possible?

Thanks!
Haru

You can exclude shipping to Hawaii under the states in the Shipping Admin. Just mark it FSA "no"

I do want to provide free shipping to Hawaii, but my products are heavy and bulky so shipping to Hawaii is expensive. That's why I want to charge a flat rate of $20 even when my customer hit the FSA threshold to compensate on the shipping cost that I have to pay. So just want to know how to set the flat rate as a handling charge.

Hi, there is no feature to set a handling charge at the state level.

The only way I can think to do this is enable price based shipping and then you have control over the cost of shipping to each state.
If you are currently using UPS, FedEx, USPS, or one of the other shipping services, you can keep that and add price based shipping. It would take place of your free shipping promo.

I actually use this scenario for my free shipping and the thing I like about it is the customer isn't actually choosing a specific service, leaving us to choose the lowest (or most practical) service to ship the customers order.
I have it outlined here https://www.ecommercetemplates.com/support/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=111036

Thanks,
David
