I just downloaded the PHP Updater v7.6 (phpupdater7.6) and my system caught a virus in it.

Here is a screenshot.

Anybody else seen this?

Hi Patrick

The screenshot link is returning a 403 forbidden.

The ECT 7.6 version I have just scanned is 7.6.0.000 & no errors detected on two machines - one virus checked using ESET & the other using Norton, both the very latest versions.

Maybe you are getting a false positive?

Regards

Will

I don't understand why I can't display an image on this forum.

Every time I use the "Insert Image" feature the picture never shows.

Now if I upload the picture to my server and provide a direct link... that doesn't work either?

The link works for me. Frustrating

Probably a setting on my service from Servlink but I don't know how to change it.

I quarantined the virus and will empty my download file and try again. Maybe it was something else in that folder.

Apart from the ECT updater zip file & the unzipped files there was nothing else at all in the folder when I ran the scans

So I just emptied my Downloads folder and ran a scan.... NO Threats found.

Then I downloaded the 7.6.0 zip file again and it caught a threat

I'll copy and paste it here:

Sorry I mislead you on that. What I was meaning is I thought maybe some other file in MY download folder was causing that.

It wasn't... I ran TWO different virus scans on my whole computer and all is clean.

But when I download the 7.6.0 file it triggers a virus in which my system catches it beforehand.

**UPDATE**

I restarted my computer and tried the download again and this time NO virus detected.

So I have no clue why it showed up earlier and then went away.

So for now everything is fine.

This was really weird.

Sorry if I worried anybody

Hi Patrick

So long as all is well then that's all that matters.

You have some anti-hotlinking code in your .htaccess file, so if you try and hotlink...
