In a previous version of the template I was able to display an image for stock notification in search results. We recently changed to the Monochrome template and it only shows the image on the product details page. Is there a way to show it on the product page search results? I'm looking for a way to better differentiate in stock from out of stock items at a glance.

Hi DavidX
Have you set the parameter....
$GLOBALS['imgnotifyinstock']
But also, you could use CSS and set styles for the button.prodnotifystock class to differentiate that button.

Is that an ASP parameter? I don't recognize the "$". Does it go in the includes.asp?

Hi DavidX
Ooops, I forgot what forum I was in but in ASP that would be...
imgnotifyinstock="images/notifyinstockimg.gif"
And yes, that would go in includes.asp

Oh right! I'm sorry if it wasn't clear but I did set that parameter and it only shows the image in the product details page as opposed to the products.asp. Any way to flip that?

Hi David
I'm trying here and it seems to be ok. Could you let me know the URL of your products page with an out of stock item so I can see the format you are using?

Here's a link to a products.asp page with some out of stock items on it:

https://www.nostalgiazone.com/products.asp?cat=New+Arrivals+For+July%2C+2023

Here's a link to the product details of a item that's out of stock:

Hi DavidX
If you click on the Quick Buy button on the products page then you do see the image for notify back in stock and I guess that is the confusion. If you like, instead of the Quick Buy button you can use the actual buy button in the productpagelayout parameter and that's probably how your previous template was set up.

I don't have any current productpagelayout set up right now in includes.asp. Are you saying I could add that and set the buy button up that way?

Hi DavidX
I think you are using layout style 2 so if you added this parameter...
productpagelayout="productimage,productname,discounts,reviewstars,instock,description,listprice,price,currency,detaillink,quickbuy"
...you could use it as a basis to alter how you want. But saying that, if you have a button for the "Details" page and the current image you have for notify back in stock it's not going to look good I don't think.

Alternatively, would there be a way to show "In Stock: 0" in red or something like that? I'm just looking for a way for people to easily scroll through search results and quickly scan for In Stock items.

Hi DavidX
Have you thought about using the parameter...
noshowoutofstock=TRUE
...to not display out of stock items?

I've considered it but that takes away the Notify option. I have had customers ask if there was a way THEY could toggle a show only in stock option. Is there any way that could happen?
