Hi Vince and all Ecommerce Templates Shopping Cart users,

You all know about the Froala HTML webpage editor which features a simple Toolbar and an excellent Source Code editor. I have discovered that it is possible to customize the Froala Toolbars to use CSS styles used by your website by editing the Javascript plugin files.

For many years I.T.ZAP Website Design Works have used a modified version of “CK Editor” as a HTML webpage editor for the Ecommerce Templates Shopping Cart software. Watch the video demonstration here =>.
While quite effective, the CK Editor Toolbars are perhaps a little compex for the inexperienced user. Also, CK Editor does not appear to be supported by Ecommerce Templates any longer. Thus the reason to begin this project to customize Froala in a similar fashion.

However, since there are some issues remaining, this project remains “Under Development”.
This is where I call for help from other Ecommerce Templates users with more advanced Javascript knowledge than I possess. Can you solve any of these issues for the benefit of all ?

Visit my Froala Customization Project webpage here =>

Download my “froala-customization-project.zip” file. It contains sample Froala CSS, Unminified Javascript and Webfont files.

Regards,

Gary

Hi Gary, I had a look at your link and it's quite a bit to absorb.

I hold my own Froala license and use it in a product designer I developed. You can see the plaque designer link in my profile.
There are some nice tools (Froala plugins offers) for image editing (you can see on my site), but I do not think Vince has activated that for ect, and it does look like newer versions will resize the image.
Lot's of documentation and plugin info here - https://froala.com/wysiwyg-editor/docs/plugins/
However, we might need to understand the version that we use, and if all of the latest features are available in our version.

I have a handful of classes I use in my product descriptions and some time back, I just added css to my ectadmincustom.css file so my descriptions render as they will on the website.
Personally, I don't use the editor for layout, I just go to code view and enter the html.
However, I think I get what you're after and some of the things you are looking for, might be why I don't use the editor itself too much.

I'll take a closer look over the weekend and see if I can help in any way.

Thanks,
David

BTW - This is the image editor plugin I use https://froala.com/image-tui-plugin/
See it in action https://froala.com/wysiwyg-editor/examples/tui-advanced-image-editor/ (When clicking the image, select the bottom right icon - "Advanced Edit")
