I have changed the name of one of my categories, which has obviously resulted in a 404 error for anyone following an external link to the old category name.

Is there a way to get it to automatically redirect to the new url?

You can indeed with URL Rewrite on IIS. Could you first try plugging something like this into Google...

And if that doesn't get you the information you are looking for, please let me know the URL you would like to rewrite from and to and I'll see if I can do it for you. (domain not needed)

I googled it, and I'm afraid I didn't understand a word, it looks like it's way beyond my understanding so I am non the wiser for what I need to do! lol.

to forward people to the new one which is
