Hello,
For the past week, all of our UPS Ground orders have had the same shipping price, 14.98. I can't tell where this problem is originating from, I've cross-referenced with Worldship rates and those seem to be correct, all of them not costing 14.98.
It's possible that this is a conversation to be had with our rep, but I just wanted to see if there was any insight or advice here with this weird issue.
Thanks, Mike

I just wanted to add a correction, this is not ALL of the UPS Ground orders, but a decent amount of them. This may just be chalked up to weird rate fluctuations between different applications, so we may just be overanalyzing.
Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike One possibility to get more information is to go to the ECT Admin -> Main Settings page and under Store Settings check the Enable Logging option. Then try a test order with the address details of one of your orders that you think has incorrect shipping. Then turn logging off again and on the ECT Admin -> Dashboard page click on Activity Log and you should get the request / response there for the transaction. You can send that to your rep to ask them if that is the rate you should be getting for those details. Hey Vince,
I finally got a response from our UPS rep, which led to a convo with an API developer. We recently discovered that Declared Value was not getting adding to UPS orders, despite being over $100. We confirmed this by comparing rates between WorldShip and the website, to which they had pretty much the exact same rate until Declared Value was added on the WorldShip end.
They did provide me with the Shipping API code page, is Declared Value implemented in the UPS Shipping options in the shopping cart in any capacity?
Thanks, Mike

The 14.98 irregularity led us to finding out that declared value was not being calculated, but they are not connected, I apologize for not clarifying that. I think that was just an over-observation.
Currently it's just that declared value is not getting added to any UPS order, despite us having "automatically add insurance" selected for both domestic and international.
If the checkbox under "Domestic Insurance Cost" is checked off for "Also use for online carriers", will that override what is being automatically added?
Thanks, Mike

I hate to admit this, but I think that was our issue the whole time. Unchecked that box for domestic orders, then cross compared with test orders after + WorldShip and can now confirm that the site shipping costs are pretty much the same as WorldShip.
Thank you for the info Vince, can't believe this was left on for so long lol.
Thanks, Mike
