Hi all I'm working on a new website for a client in the UK. They have recently just set up a PayPal account to take payments using the ECT Cart. The ECT set up in the payment providers seems to have worked and retrieved the correct details for their account (client ID, Password, Merchant ID) 1st Test - paying by PayPal, worked 2nd test - paying by credit/debit card, worked but had an authorisation error. PayPal had the payments status showing as on hold in the clients account. This apparantley happens with new sellers and new accounts. So, moving on... i tried some more Live tests and now things are not working. 3rd - paying by credit/debit card.. the checkout flow works to asking for card details, but when i click submit it just gives an error message saying "Something went wrong, we'll take you back to checkout, so you can try again" 4th - tried same purchase with my PayPal account (that worked on 1st test) and this time the error message is saying " Payment can't be completed due to international regulations" Before chasing my own tail and speaking with Paypal, if anyone has some experience of this or can help in any way, it would be greatly appreciated.
