I have always had my main admin set to Pack Products Together, and have never had an issue with it. However I very recently added some large 60" x 8" diameter products that are resulting in very low shipping rates. My cost to ship each one of these items is approximately $22. The shipping rates come back around $22 for an order of (1) of these products, which is great. However since my admin is set to Pack Product Together, the shipping rates are also coming back at $22 on orders of (2) or more of these products. It costs me $44 to ship (2) of these products, but the shipping rates are being returned at $22 for (2). I don't want to change the setting in my admin from Pack Products together as it will cause much higher rates for all other products. I've tried adding weight and increasing the size of the product, but the shipping rates are still not coming back to anywhere close to where they need to be for these products. I'm all out of ideas now. Any suggestions?

Are you using the "split pack at" setting?
This sets the weight at which you split a box and depeding on the weight of this large item, you might be able to come up with something that works, using that parameter.

Hi Dave!
Thanks for the quick reply. Although these particular products measure 60" x 8" dia, they only weigh 3.5lbs. I'm wondering if I could just limit each purchase of these products to 1 somehow? It would cause customers that want to order more than 1 to have to checkout twice, or more, but I'm really not sure how else to go about it at this point....Is this do-able?

In each product there is a list of exemptions on the left side. You can select "Pack Together Exempt" for the products you are talking about. You can also use the Quick Entry on the product admin if you have a lot to do.

Perfect!
I do appreciate it.
In all the years I've been using this website, I've never noticed that
