usps oauth

c_srishti Starting Member USA 11 Posts	Posted - 01/13/2026 : 12:32:56 I have the latest version of ECT. I am trying to setup the latest USPS API. On the ECT page it says to follow the first 4 steps, the 4th step on the USPS is generate Oauth token. I assume tha tECT will do it in hte background, and all I need to do is to generate the Client and Secret ID, correct?) So I generated the Client ID and Secret ID. I put it in the ECT page. But I am getting this error upon checkout "Error, invalid response from https://apis.usps.com/oauth2/v3/token (403)" What am I doing wrong? Please help!

Actually that should say "first 3 steps" instead of 4 so I'll change that, and no, you don't have to do anything for the 4th. Could you send the Consumer Key and Secret to my email (vince AT ecommercetemplates DOT com) and I'll try them here. c_srishti Starting Member USA 11 Posts	Posted - 01/29/2026 : 07:23:53 Hi Vince, thank you for getting back to me. We opened the firewall and the port and checked it with powershell. So the USPS should work but it's still giving the error. Are you still getting the same error? Strangely it started happening after we deleted the old Paypal and make the "Paypal checkout" active. You can see the error by going to the ECT Admin -> Main Settings -> Store Settings page and then "Enable Logging". Then try to get the USPS rates. Then if you go to your ECT Admin -> Dashboard and click on Activity Log you can see the full error there by clicking on the "https://apis.usps.com/oauth2/v3/token" link.
