Our tax calculation has always worked one way when points were involved. The tax would be calculated based on the Order Total. Suddenly, it is now calculated on the total AFTER points have been applied. I've been double checking orders for the last couple of weeks and it appears that it started after I applied the latest update. Has anyone else noticed this?
Hi DavidX There was a bug fix a week ago to calculate the tax after loyalty point discounts. But I'm pretty sure that should be the case, no? Do you have information to the contrary?
According to our accountant and a bit of research it seems the tax should be calculated before points are applied. There does seem to be some interpretations that say it could go the other way in some instances and some saying you should do it before out of precaution. As it is now it turns our accounting into a real nightmare.
