Is anyone working with products that have core charges? if so how are you handling them within ECT?

I'm not 100% sure what you mean by core charges but assumed someone else would know. But maybe if you explain a bit more about what you mean it would be easier to answer?

Not any different that when you buy a starter or alternator for your car.

When you buy the new/reman part it has a separate core charge.

When you return the old part you are credited that portion back.

in a sense you would say buy part# 4707Q and at the same time get billed for part# 4707Q-Core

When you return your old part you would then be credited for part# 4707Q-Core

If it were my store, I would setup the core charge as a product option - you can make it mandatory if needed.
Then using Ship Station, I would set it up to print a return label to include in the shipment.
This gives the customer the easiest solution.

Once the core comes back, I would refund the core charge.

I had to look it up, we call it a surcharge in the UK
