I received an email today from webtools@usps.gov with the following: quote: Hello,
You are receiving this message because you have been identified as an integrator that is still utilizing a non-secure Web Tools endpoint (http://production.shippingapis.com/). Please use the Web Tools Secure Production endpoint (https://production.shippingapis.com/) to avoid any possible service disruptions
Thank You, USPS API Functional Team Visit us at: www.usps.com/webtools
Is there anything that I need to do? Thanks, Kelley Ecommerce PlusASP v7.7.4 (but I'm updating to 7.8.4 today )

Vince, for some reason we're still getting repeated warning emails from USPS with the subject line: " USPS Web Tools Notice – MIGRATE NOW to USPS APIs to Avoid Service Disruption" Here’s their documentation link: https://www.usps.com/business/web-tools-apis/documentation-updates.htmWe're currently running v7.7.9, and knowing USPS I suspect these emails might be going out indiscriminately—without verifying whether a domain is already in compliance. That said, I wanted to flag it just in case there’s anything that needs attention on our end. Thanks as always for your help.

Will the current PHP 7.8.7 take care of that USPS Web Tools API update?

Just updated an old site to 7.8.8 and am getting this error message below. Shipping to pack products together is selected. Client will login to USPS but how can he continue to use the old API? It's PHP not ASP. Error: Your Web Tools API service has been disrupted because we have been unable to contact you about migrating to the newest version of our API software. Please fill out the following Migration Feedback Form to begin upgrading and restoring your service: https://forms.osi.office365.us/r/n6njkKcCaz. After completing the form, please contact webtools@usps.gov. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

For some reason, I thought it was not recommended. I will ask the client.

He's a bit confused now - he used the 'click here' to create a new account but the instructions talk about creating an app etc. Does he really have to do that? It's way over my head.
Are there instructions about what needs to be done?

So what is the app name? The API product? Looks like everything else is optional.

The API product is required also. Can that be anything?
