Hi guys,

I noticed a few failed orders over the weekend via paypal - might just be a coincidence - and a customer litterally called me this morning saying he thinks he paid twice (via paypal) but hasnt even gone through the order process properly... So i put a test order through with paypal and after i authorise on paypal i get back to my site and its looks functional but at the bottom is:

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'

[MySQL][ODBC 5.3(a) Driver][mysqld-5.5.5-10.11.13-MariaDB]You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MariaDB server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

/inc/manufacturermessage.asp, line 36

Any ideas what is causing this?

I upgraded to MySQL about 2-3 months ago - had plenty of paypal payments since then - so not sure if this error has always been there as I was able to complete the transaction...

thanks
James

Hi James
Is the file manufacturermessage.asp a custom script of yours? Have a look what you have there on line 36.

Hi Vince,

Ahh yes, its part of that custom code you do for me in regards trade prices for certain brands whenever i update...

i fixed the issue by changing

If cStep=1 Then

to

If cStep=1 AND Trim(querystr & "")<>"" Then

Do you see anything dodgy using the above code?

regards
James

Hi James
This would be an SQL statement that is going wrong. But if you want to send the site FTP login to my email (vince AT ecommercetemplates DOT com) I'll take a look for you.
