We just revamped the store and need help with the shipping. We want to charge a set shipping amount per the dollar amount of the order, i.e., Less than $20, flat rate, $20 to $50, flat rate, etc., etc.

Is this possible and if so, how do I do it? This is all new to us, so baby steps!

Hi Jennye
This is pretty easy really and what you want to do is log in to the store admin and go to SHIPPING ADMIN -> Postal Zones
Then click on "Edit Rules" for the United States
There you can set up the rules as you mentioned and where it says "Max Weight" just take that as Max Price.
Then when you've done that for the United States, go to the Main Settings admin page and under Shipping Admin, for "Shipping Type" set "Price Based Shipping".
I'm not sure if you are interested in shipping outside the USA but assuming the rates are different it's a case of setting up rules in the Postal Zones admin page then on the Countries admin page, assigning those rules to a country.
