Hi All

Just trying to set up mailchimp intergration, I entered the API key and it found my MC account and my lists - I created a new one in my EC admin section and it appears in my MC account...

Now i tried to "SYNC ALL emails (1920) with list" - but when i click go it says:

No Emails To Sync.
Operation Successful !


Seems odd it tells me I have 1920 emails, but then wont sync them as it says i have none... Any ideas whats going wrong here?

Sorry should also point out, when i first clicked the "mailchimp integration" button and enetred the API key it showed my current lists in mailchimp and also 1 new one called "Ecommerce Plus Database - 1920 members"

I do not have the option to delete this list, and it does NOT appear in my Mailchimp admin section.

Hi Andy,

No, it wont sync the emails - just keeps saying "no emails to sync"

It seems to me it has automatically put the emails in the list called "Ecommerce Plus Database - 1920 Members" but it is not showing me this list in the Mailchimp website

This is what happens when i intergrate with mailchimp - as you can see there is already a list called "Ecommerce Plus Database - 1920 Members"... The only option i have with this list is to "add new signups"... AND more importantly this list is not visable in my mailchimp account.

2: If i click "create mailchimp list" i can create a new list via ECT admin - see: https://ibb.co/dymaPH here I have created a new list called "JMC Secure Newsletter" but it has 0 members... If i try to "SYNC ALL emails (1920) with list" I get a message saying no emails to sync (see: https://ibb.co/e0GaPH)... Also note when i create this list, it is visible in my mailchimp account.

Any ideas?

I'm not really sure why you are getting the zero emails synced message.

Can you try selected emails and see if you get the same

To add selected emails go to the ECT mailing list admin page and perform a search for those emails you want to add to the list. Once the emails display, click on the MailChimp Integration button and those emails from the search results will have been automatically added to your new list.

Hi, sorry to break into your thread, but this never worked for me either.
I have to do things to old way.
Export new signups to a csv and go to the mailchimp site and add them to my mailchimp list there and send my emails there.
I have never been able to use the mailchimp integration.

I'll do some testing here, I can't remember reports of the sync feature not working and this part of the code hasn't changed for quite a while, although of course something may have changed on the Mailchimp side.

Andy, I don't mean to be a party crasher, but it never worked for me.
I just never spoke up.
It would be great if it did though.

It seems fine here and I've also seen it working on at least one client site, the user Paradise (Mark) I think it was. Please do send me on the admin and I'll take a look there.

I have always used the search list function to update my MC list, it has always worked and still does as of today.

I did try to ad all 30,000 email to a new MC test list, but after a few minutes I get a 500 error.

Just to confirm, it doesnt matter if i choose "sync ALL emails..." or "sync selected emails" i get the "no emails to sync" message...

I can provide access to my ECT admin if required?

James, sorry I missed your last message - please do send me on the details.

David, yours looks different, on attempting to sync you get an error "The following error occurred: The requested resource could not be found." - It's almost like the list isn't being recognized. You don't have a non-modded test store you can try that on, do you?

Apologies, I see that now and didn't first thing this morning when I was looking. Searching around the net the most common reason for that error is when a list can't be found but that doesn't seem right as it is listed in the admin so I'll have to looks some more.

Can you try to sync the lists and then look in your hosting error logs to see if anything of help is reported there. The error on the page is quite generic and although it points to a problem of not recognizing the list I'm not entirely sure that's the problem here.

With the new GDPR law coming into effect on 25/5 could really do with my website / mailchimp automatically syncing etc...
