Hi
I'm about to update a clients cart (from v6.7) and was wondering if there is any recommended way of archiving some of the historical data in the database. For example the cart table has over 20K rows, and orders over 10K with data going back 9 years. I could of course just delete a load of rows in the bigger tables but I imagine I would then end up with orphaned data in other tables and a potentially corrupt database.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Eric Lewis

Hi Eric

I would be very cautious about deleting rows in the database, it's not causing any problems is it?

Hi Andy

No, it's not causing any problems but I would like to make the database more manageable for backup/re-install purposes.
