Hi there! I have been setting up a Wordpress/ECT store for my husband's small biz. It's time to connect my shipping software with this store.

I have my own long-standing biz that's using an ASP version of the ECT store. I use a service called Shipworks to purchase shipping and print shipping labels. Some years ago, I purchased an ASP module from the Ecomwebstore.com to bridge the gap between ECT and Shipworks, and it's been working fine.

I'd like to install a similar add-on to bridge between hubby's Wordpress/ECT store and Shipworks. Ecomwebstore does offer a PHP version of the Shipworks-ECT add-on, but I am not educated enough about Wordpress to know if this particular add-on is compatible with Wordpress.

I have tried twice over the past several weeks to contact Ecomwebstore through their website, asking about compatibility, but I've not gotten any response.

Can anyone can give me some idea if the Ecomwebstore PHP add-on should work with a Wordpress/ECT store? Here's a link to the item in question - http://ecomwebstore.com/proddetail.php?prod=ShipworksPHP

If the PHP code needs to be specific for Wordpress, are there any developers who are willing to write an add-on for me?

Regards,
DeeAnna

Hi DeeAnna
I can't think of why this wouldn't work with WordPress. But for $25, why not give it a go? I'm sure they have a money back guarantee in case it doesn't work out.

I just didn't know if the Wordpress environment has any significant effect on the code for the ECT store or not.

For example, the includes.php file for Wordpress/ECT looks quite different, what with its "globals" structure, than the includes for the ECT store using vanilla PHP. That got me to wondering.

I appreciate the feedback. Thanks, Vince. --DeeAnna
