 Error Message After PayPal Transaction

I'm seeing the customers come to an error message after checking out with PayPal, this is happening only on transaction where the customer used PayPal to check out. Everything seems to work fine, we get the order and the payment, but the last page the customer sees when they return to our site after the PayPal transaction is "Sorry, there seems to be an error! If you need any help with your purchase, then please be sure to contact us. "

What to check?

This may be related to an issue that came up a few weeks ago, and there is a patch in the latest update, so you might update the site and see if that sorts it out.

I'm on Ecommerce PlusASP v7.2.3, do you know if this is the case?

The fix was put out in the last two weeks, so unless you have just updated, you probably do not have this fix..

Thank you so much, I've replaced the incthanks.asp file with the new one for now and will schedule a the complete upgrade to 7.2.6 soon.

I just watched a customer checkout with PayPal and this is what the customer sees on the thanks.asp page:


The order is successfully placed, PayPal funds received, but the thanks page has a problem.

That is the exact error that the fix is for.
Several users have confirmed that the problem is fixed.
I suggest use a file compare program and compare the new file with the old and you will see the fix in there.
I use winmerge (free)..
Then make sure that vsadmin/inc/incthanks.asp page has been uploaded to the server, in the correct location.

If you still have problems, you can click my user name and send FTP credentials and I'll check things out.

It's the same problem really, but this is now affecting another PayPal payment flow so there is a Hotfix out to fix this too now...

Just wanted to report back and say thank you. The newest version of the thanks.asp page and the ajax page fixed the issue I was having above. I will apply the whole updater soon. Thank you again for the great product and service!
