Is there a way to keep the image in the cart for the product, but exclude it from the options?

It really depends on your set up. Are your options using the alt prod ID or are they just standard options with different images assigned to them?

standard options with no images. Every option is pulling the main image in. So with the main item selected and 5 options there are 6 of the same image.

As Phil mentions, I think the only way you can get the option image in there is if you are using the alt-product ID options.
This means every option choice will need to be setup as it's own product.

Ok thanks. The extra info helps. I may just remove the image from the cart altogether.
