I am using a MySQL database that I have had for over six years from my latest existing two year old ecommerce template (0003pr00grb0089) with update 7.5, I just updated to version 0003pr00grb0090 and updated it to 7.6. everything works great, except I can't delete existing categories. I get the error

Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80040e14'

[MySQL][ODBC 3.51 Driver][mysqld-5.6.37]You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'DELETE FROM sections WHERE sectionID=87;DELETE FROM multisections WHERE pSection' at line 1

/vsadmin/inc/incfunctions.asp, line 2009

And yes I do follow the directions to update store and have for the last fifteen years

Hi Larkiy
I see the problem and I've fixed it now and added the fix to the vsadmin/inc/inccats.asp script in the updater. Sorry for the problems!

Hi Vince

I re-ran the updater after checking the vsadmin/inc/inccats.asp date on the download this morning and I still get the error.

Hi Larkiy
Sorry for that (there was a glitch in the fix) but if you get a new copy of the updater now and copy the inccats.asp script to your site it really, really will sort this out now.

Hi Vince

Thanks for the fix, worked great.

Its funny that we were not even using the sidebar or a category link on this site but it still drove me crazy for over eight hour.
Thanks again for a great product

Larkiy
