Hi all
I have a VERY old version of one of your stores, I think I bought it back in 2005(ish).
I have uploaded the files to my server and I was going to create the DB and then purchase an update to bring everything up to date but I am having issues creating the DB.
Is the age of the files I am using likely to cause an issue with creating the DB (i.e. the createdb.php file is too old to be compatible)?
If so, is there any way to update the store before I create the DB?

Hi Troy,
There's really no need to create the DB using the creatdb.php script, you just need to apply the latest updater to your existing store.

If you really want to play it safe, take a copy of the existing database and site files, upload the copy of the site files to a sub directory, create a new database using your host control panel and import your database copy to that.

All you have to do then is edit the vsadmin/db_conn_open.php file to point to your copy database, then apply the latest updater to your sub directoy site.
