I tried WorldBrands also. I did find a couple of companies to check out, but yes their products are so expensive.
So - Being sneaky I guess, I have gone to a local store and looked for an item I knew they didn't carry! As the clerk looked through catalogs from their suppliers I caught the names on their catalog that they purchase from. I am now in contact with a couple of those sources now, setting up dropship accounts, and the prices are much lower than you would expect!
I know it's a sneaky way...but If I had gone in to find out who their distributors were, they wouldn't have told me!
If this works, I will gladly pass on the names. Marcia I'm into Christian Books and Gifts! In case anyone has additional sources! But the tried system above works.........can't see why it wouldn't work for other items too! Try..all it costs is a trip to a local store!
Thanks for sharing that information, Marcia, excellent tip!
I had initially thought the idea of a dropshipper directory was "reinventing the wheel," but I realized after the thread developed that there are a lot of claims made on other directory sites that don't live up to their promises. So in that way I missed the point of equitableelectronics' original post when I first posted.
It's great that people in the ect community are willing to share, and to help others' avoid costly mistakes. And I really like that Andy and Vince are willing include dropshippers on their mods site!
Well I found with the dropship lists from worldwide brands that everything is so expensive, it's cheaper to go to wal-mart and buy the same item and resell it..defeating my purpose of course! So one day my husband was at the auto store looking for some odd item, and the clerk pulled out a stack of catalogs from their suppliers! lights went off, so I went to my type of store, and looked for something they didn't have and the clerk did the same thing. I remembered the names easily, the clerk actually wrote them down! so when I decided, I could tell the clerk where it was found... Then I contacted the suppliers, asked if I could set up a dropship account with them, and they sent me catalogs! Worked so far, but I'm in the midst of changing my store to another line of products, so I won't be ready for a bit yet. But if the stores use them, why can't I? marcia
Okay guys, due to a massive amount of dropshipper lists dropped into my lap over the last week I have decided to call a quit's on scrubbing these lists.
You will find the unscrubbed list in a zipped file here on my website. The URL is: http://www.equitableelectronics.com/links.asp at the bottom of the banner list you will see a link that says "ECT MEMBERS", click that to download.
I am estimating a few hundred dropshippers listed, if not more.
And thats all folks, sorry I couldn't be of more help. It's really tuff when everyone claims they have the magic list...

Please visit my webpage for information on dropshipping. I purchased this same program and yes it was expensive but it's a real deal program. Once you purchase it and log in you'll see what I'm talking about. They update it all the time and personally test the drop shippers before they approve them to be on the site. You really can't go wrong. You can check with BBB.org and also http://ripoffreport.com/ to check on ANY COMPANY YOU'RE LEARY of. I seen someone mentioned MegaGoods.com ... DON'T DO IT.... Also, netdropshipper.com is the same.. no cust service and they will try to take your money and never ship anything to your customers.. Any company that claims to be a true wholesaler and doesn't ask for a tax id # is a MIDDLE MAN. Getting that tax ID cost me $10 which was spent on registering a company name here in my county.. My state (Michigan) doesn't let you file for the Sales Tax License online so it took forever. I do know that there are alot of states that let you do it online which is sooooooooo much quicker than snail mail. Then you fill out the forms for your state and they'll send you a Sales Tax License.. visit my site at http://www.edsmilitaryshop.com/Dropship.html .. also don't hesitate to email me with any questions you might have.. Even to be sure that this company has a drop shipper for the items you want to sell.. I can look them up and tell you how many companies sell those items.. I've had my encounters with these scam artists online and I hope that I can help at least ONE person to find the TRUE dropshipper list. This will save you lot's of time and money TRUST ME!! Look forward to hearing from anyone with questions!

Nope, its just worldwidebrands. Sorry. Worldwidebrands happens to be another junk directory. Yes, if you don't mind spending 40,50,60 dollars on peices of crap than go ahead!
If anyone that isn't selling worldwidebrands that has any thoughts on them please post it. Maybe you can prove me wrong.
Just wanted to let you all know that the company that I work for, The Pashmina Warehouse (www.thepashminawarehouse) does dropshipping of pashmina shawls. We don't really focus on online sales as much as larger accounts (we even use ecommercetemplates on our site) but I know we would be more than happy to set up accounts for anybody that would want to use us for dropshipping pashmina products.
Send me an e-mail at dsourani@thepashminawarehouse[nospam].com (please remove "[nospam]" from the address) if you are interested or simply want more information.
I agree with equitableelectronics when he states that "Worldwidebrands" happens to be another junk directory. They charged $65 at the time and was a bad investment for me.
I'm not sure how the $65 could be a bad investment for anyone. You can find almost any product you can think of there. I made my money back very quickly and it's still making me money. In time I'll make much much more. Please explain how this list is "junk" .. You two both just mention it's junk but not "why". Totally wrong saying it's junk because there are tons of products that you can buy and many different companies to buy from. Guess you're selling what everyone else is? No niche? Well, anyways, I hope someone will tell why they think it's junk so it doesn't convince someone that it's a rip off or garbage because it's not.
Thanks Ksp, Doggs, I said it looked like Junk, Its the reason I asked.
What do you sell from them, where on eBay at your ecommerce store I'd like to take a look and hear more if its legitimate.
I wrote them and it took 4 days to get an answer, not exactly the kind of support I'd want. There is no quicker way to lose an eBay power seller status than to sell inferior items.
So naturally, I wanted to hear from someone that uses them, if thats you please tell us more
doggg, No need to become defensive, it's not your mother we are talking about. I work very close with the consumer electronics organization including the CES show in Las Vegas. I see approximately 500 national distributors; some that offer drop shipping and a majority are listed as the biggest & best of 2004. This being said doggg, paying $65 for this "list" only offered me 3 or 4 of these 500+ distributors. Explain that too me? A guy, who found great opportunity in small business, advertising them as a get rich quick theme, conceived this list. If you find that distributor that is a B2B seller, offering fulfillment orders and carries your niche... Would you sell it to everyone & their mothers? There go's your playing field.
Yes, I may have gone overboard by calling the Worldwide Brands list "junk". Would I suggest any of my competitors to buy that list? YES.
*By the way, do you sell Worldwide brands? That’s your niche??
