Once you have created your account with Checkout.com the first thing you will need to do is open your ecommerce template admin payment providers page. Locate the payment provider listed as "Checkout.com" and click on the Modify button. Fill in the details as shown below:
Show As - this is the text that will appear on your checkout for the customer to choose the payment method. You may want to enter the payment provider name or something more generic like "Credit Card".
The Client ID and Secret API Key will be sent to you by Checkout.com when you open your account.
You can choose the alternate / regional payment methods that you wish to accept. Credit cards will be enabled by default and you can choose from PayPal, Sofort, Klarna, iDEAL, SEPA Direct Debit, Knet, Bancontact, EPS, Przelewey24 and MultiBanco.
For testing purposes use the credit card number 4111 1111 1111 1111 and any expiry date in the future.
NOTE - As payment details are taken on the Checkout.com server you do not need an SSL certificate. It is however becoming more expected that your entire website is on SSL so if possible, do use a certificate.
